CECOST is a national research centre within the field of
combustion with an integrated graduate school. The research activities shall
address generic phenomena and with the knowledge achieved be able to handle
issues sprung from industrial and societal needs. The aim is that activities
are conducted on a scientific and technical international top-level. The
outcome of the generic research in terms of tools, i.e. models and
measurement techniques shall serve as a foundation for phenomenological and
applied projects within the CECOST program. The research within CECOST
should also be accessible for other national programs within combustion and
by that have the largest possible impact on the energy and environment
research area. The graduate school shall offer courses on topics that are
highly relevant for the area, mainly directed towards graduate students
within the national research programs on combustion but also towards
participants from industry. The courses should be interdisciplinary and by
that transfer knowledge from several disciplines and make a base for
competence, good understanding and good cooperation between persons involved
in different areas of combustion research. Swedish:
